After the Parade -- To the Park

The park is the happening place after the parade. There's entertainment in the gazebo and all kinds of food and entertainment for the kids--everything from a fish pond to the giant inflatable slide to Sno-Cones for 75 cents.

Spencer brought Grandma Clara to the festivities, and she enjoyed a quiet minute visiting with Kent.



And of course, Austenne and Clara had a sword fight with silly flamingo beaks. (What else can you do with a flamingo beak?)




The 24th of July brings back memories the yearly event in Mapleton, hanging out with family and meeting up with old friends. It reminds us how fortunate we are to live in such a pleasant small town.
